Audi A6 e-tron Sportback and front With BEVs, aerodynamic efficiency is more important than ever. In fact, this new Audi A6 e-tron Sportback has a CX of 0.21. If we add that it is not another SUV, its efficiency is record-breaking. In the Avant version the CX remains very good at 0.24.

The image shows a diagram of the Audi S6 e-tron with parts labeled, highlighting its hybrid electric system and high-voltage components. It is relevant to understanding automotive hybrid technology.

To achieve this, Audi engineers had to make design decisions. Because of this, the sportback has a very rounded roofline, which falls far behind, and even the station wagon has a sloping roof behind it. There are also lateral air ducts that Audi wants to show off well. Usually these lower parts are covered with black to hide the thickness of the battery

At the front, this new Audi A6e-tron has two parts lights, very thin and all over. You can maintain the "Audi look" a very visible part at the top, and a more modest part, where the lights themselves are integrated into a large air intake at the bottom of the front shield. The "single-frame" grille exists, but it's a grille proposal, because these electric vehicles don't need a grille to cool the radiator, but all electric vehicles do.

The rear is more conventional, even if it has evolved significantly in the a6. We have a large light strip with identical three-dimensional design between the sedan and the station wagon. Notice a strongly sloping rear window and an opening that looks very narrow. To see exactly what we see inside. You can also mention the rearview camera and the built-in handle.

The image shows the interior view of a car from the back seat, highlighting the headrests, sunroof and clear sky outside. It conveys a feeling of travel comfort and openness.

Inside there is a panoramic cinema! As is often the case with 2020 cars, the on-board equipment behind the steering wheel (11.9 inches) and the central infotainment (14.5 inches MMI touch..It was complemented by another 10.9-inch MMI screen for the passenger seat. Everything is arranged in a very horizontal dashboard.

Style and aerodynamics

According to the manufacturer, details conveyed by Audi include a "dynamic 19-inch 5-spoke" rim designed as an aerodynamic wheel.

On the S-line, this is increased to a 20-inch "five-spoke tripod" in graphite grey, and on the S6e-tron, the optional 20-inch wheels are up to 21 inches, with nine different designs. 8 body colors will be available for the market launch, but it will probably be shades of gray, black, white, blue and blue, and even siamese beige in the photo. Obviously there is no red

Technically, this Audi A6e-tron uses a battery consisting of 12 modules with 180 prism cells. Total capacity of 100kWh and mesh of 94.9kWh. This large capacity allows Audi to display a range of up to 6km to 721km with the Audi Q6e-tron Sportback in a single WLTP mixed charge and Avant version 757km. The effect of CX can be read directly. This corresponds to the consumption of 12.5kWh/100km WLTP

In the A6e-tron Sportback/Avant performance version, the drive power can be up to 270 kW. So, this version accelerates from 5.4 to 0 km/h in 100 seconds. The S6e-tron offers a boost of 370kW (Quattro all-wheel drive) and even up to 405kW. The Adui S6e-tron accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the range decreases with the s6E-tron sporback at 676km and the S6Avant e-tron at 648km

800 volt battery for efficient and fast charging

The battery has a voltage of up to 270 kW, 800 V, which allows DC charging (direct current) as standard. Now, we need to find a compatible super-fast terminal (high-performance HPC charging). As a rule, in 10 minutes you can regain autonomy up to 310 km. At a rate of 10-80%, it takes 21 minutes.

To find out how many stops there are, it remains to wait for consumption at the speed of the highway. What improves charging is that an 800-volt battery can be considered as 2 400-volt batteries, so it can be charged at up to 400kW with a 135-volt connection. For alternating current (AC), there is an integrated 11 kW charger. As an option, there is also 22kW later. Even at 11kW, 10-11 hours is enough for a full charge.

Audi has a great emphasis on regenerative braking, and the brand claims every day that 95% of brake operations can be guaranteed in this way. So many platelets were saved. Recovery is mainly done on the rear axle, but it can also be done on both axles. There are 2 fairly standard recovery levels available. Adjustable with the paddle on the steering wheel, you can quickly switch to a powerful regenerative brake (brake-like mode B).

It remains to know the exact technical data sheet, including weight and other information. According to Audi, it uses composite materials for battery protection, aluminum for doors, hoods and trunks, and a 20% lighter engine. But with a battery capacity of 100 kWh, the weight should be as impressive as the price.

The price is set to start at 75,600 euros for the performance of the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron and 77,250 euros for the performance of the A6 Avant e-tron in the S6Sportback e-tron3 version, 99,500 euros, and even 101,150 euros for the S6Avant e-tron. It will cost you euros.
