The new Bentley Flying Spur is visually almost identical to its predecessor and has a 782ps stalker plug-in hybrid V8

Bentley will update the Flying Spur, the only sedan since the large Mulsanne was decommissioned in 2020. Newcomers are presented as the 4th generation of the model, and in fact it is a further development of its predecessor, which was launched in 2019. Aesthetic progress is limited to the new design of the front air intake, so we can not even talk about the redesign. On the other hand, the electrical architecture is new, the chassis is improved, and among other things, the Flying Spur presented in its speed version uses a new ultra-performance hybrid powertrain from the latest Continental GT Speed.
So, when you open the hood, you will discover 2V350 with two single-scroll turbochargers and a direct injection system with a pressure of 4.08 bar, producing 600 horsepower and 800 Nm. The heart of the plug-in hybrid power unit, this firepower unit is supported by an 8-speed 190-horsepower and 450Nm electric motor integrated into a dual clutch transmission. All 4 wheels are driven and piloted. They send to the ground up to 782 hp and 1,000 Nm, which means 19% more power and 11% more torque compared to the previous flying spur speed, and 100% heat W12 6.0 biturbo engine.

With a time from 0km/h to 100km/h for 3.5 seconds, the new model needs 0.3 seconds less than the previous model. The electronically locked differential and electronic torque distribution is continuously tested in the UK in combination with triple-mode suspension including double chamber shock absorbers and active stabilizers.
The electric motor is driven by a 400V25.9kWh battery installed under the trunk (the amount of which is not yet transmitted). Its 22kWh mesh ensures a WLTP range of 76 km in electrical mode, up to 140 km/h usable and 75% acceleration. According to Bentley, it takes 11 hours and 45 minutes to fully charge on the AC terminal at 2 kW. The battery does not allow fast charging with a DC connection, but in a special mode it can be filled only with the energy of the V8

More connected flight spur
The cabin of the new Flying Spur has not only a large number of buttons, but also a transmission control lever, an element that tends to disappear in the current production. In the center of the dashboard there is always a 3-direction rotating panel, with a blank veneer, 3 analog dials (stopwatch, thermometer, compass) or the rest of the furniture The latter serves as an interface to a modernized infotainment system. As for the equipment, you can also name the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning with ionization, particle filter and GPS connection for automatic switching to recycling mode if necessary, or optional seats with stepless posture adjustment. The quilted leather upholstery has been revised and Bentley has announced more customization options than ever before. Power is 650W (10hp), 1500W (16hp), 2200W (19hp) 3 audio systems are available.
Thanks to the brand new mobile application, the parking function of the smartphone control is provided. According to the manufacturer of Crewe, thanks to the remote update, Flying Spur should receive new features over the years. The range should be expanded quickly with a less powerful engine.
